Key West Fishing Report
July 13, 2010

Brandon Thompson, Emmett and Blake Swinson, and Nick Ellis from Lakeland, Fl and Marine Gunnery Sergeant Michael Hernandez and his son, Jordan from N Babylon, NY Fished a full day on the Lethal Weapon today. Nick, Jordan, and Brandon caught three Bonito right away, and Blake chipped in with an awesome Barracuda. It looked good at the "Curb" Wreck so one of the Bonitos went down on the Shark Rod. Emmett hooked up immediately and fought and boated a #100 Blacktip Shark. Gunny followed suit with a twin to Emmett's Shark. Both fish put up a whale of a fight. Brandon had a chance with his Bonito, but small 'Cudas ate his bait piece by piece so we were held to two Sharks. Nick didn't wait long for his turn as the downrigger screamed off 200 yards of line and the battle was on. He fought like a man and this #50 Wahoo was the end result. What a fight! Blake's Barracuda, Nick's Wahoo, and the two Blacktips are on their way to the taxidermist and will soon be on the walls of the proud anglers. See the two Blacktips in the photo gallery under "Sharks" After quite a few slow days, fishing got a hell of a lot better. Tight Lines and Screaming Reels.
