Key West fishing Report
April 20, 2010

Gordon Cook brought his sons Tom and Mark and their friend Ronnie Donna down from Michigan for a day of fishing on the Lethal Weapon today. We started off with a nice Kingfish followed shortly thereafter with a Bonito. This was at the east end of the Boca Grande Bar. We fished hard all the way to the west end before we started to have good action. Numerous large Bonito joined the first two fish in the box and we were having a great time. Ronnie hooked a huge Bonito and had a hell of a time with it. As it turned out, this #30 Barracuda ate the Bonito and Ronnie was fighting the Barracuda instead. It was a whale of a fight, and after ten minutes or so, the great fish was ours. Today was the nicest weather day we've had since last summer, and we took great advantage of it. Gordon is a young 70, and he and I didn't miss an opportunity to let the youngsters know that "Old age and treachery trump youth and exuberance every time". Tight Lines and Screaming Reels, Capt Ted
