Key West Shark Fishing Report
April 8, 2010

Nelson Gonzales from Miami brought his Daughter Emma and Marco Muxo out for an afternoon of Shark Fishing on the Lethal Weapon today. We picked the folks up at Sunset Key and headed out to the Pearl Basin for some Sharking. We started off slow with Marco finally catching a Cero Mackeral. That turned out to be a good thing. The Sharks loved it! The first two fish hit at the same time and were quite a handfull. Both were Nurse Sharks over #200 and the kids were using #20 Spin Gear. It took a half hour to boat, photograph and release the monsters, but in the time we were fighting the first two, the chum really started working. Both kids caught at least a dozen Blacktip Sharks up to #60, five or six Spinner sharks, and Emma finished up with this Hammerhead all by herself. Both of these kids were real tigers and gave the Sharks all they could handle. They both left the Lethal Weapon accomplished anglers, and I'd be proud to have them back anytime.
