Key West Fishing Report
June 19, 2010

Michigan Rules! We had a group of very lucky boys from Michigan today. Bob, Trent, and Jason brought their ladies on board for a morning half day and we crushed the fish. Jason started it off with a 7/ 6" Sailfish in the 380 class that can be seen in my Billfish section of my Photo Gallery. The fish fought for over a half hour before being photographed and released. Trent stepped up next with a huge Barrqcuda that I messed up the photo on. Sorry, Trent. This fish was also huge. The girls caught some small Dolphin and quite a few Cero Mackerals, and we didn't want Bob to feel left out, so we rigged one of our Mackerals on a #130 rod and fired the Mackeral down 120' near a wreck. We missed a fish, rigged another Mackeral and the fight was on! After an unbelievable fight this #80 Cubera Snapper came up mad as hell. David was able to gafff the monster and he was ours! It is the biggest Cubera I have ever seen, and what a trophy it will make! It was a perfiec day, and I wish they all could go this well. Tight Lines and Screaming Reels, Capt Ted
